Yes, they DO work but only if the cartridges are not protected for refills. If your cartridge has a "microchip" (like the EPSON ones) it surely wont work.

Yes but not well. One must be very careful to avoid spilling ink. Cleaning the old cartridge will also help overall success.

I have had ink cartridges that ink refills work well in and some in which they do not. No matter what, they are messy and somewhat of a pain, even when they do work.
