Pomeranians are often times prone to a knee condition. The common knee condition affecting these dogs is known as a dislocated patella, otherwise known as a dislocated knee-cap. There are generally 4 (some believe 5) types of patella problems known as grades. Dogs may get worse over time, so watch the symptoms closely.

Pmeranians are among the specific canine breeds that are known to have knee problems. More exact, they are prone to getting dislocated knee caps, or patella. The best thing to help with this is to ensure they are receiving enough calcium to help their bones develop early on. Milk bones are good for this.

A lot of small breed dogs have a knee condition called luxating patellas which means that the knee cap can pop in and out of place. Many dogs are asymptomatic as they learn to manage the condition on their own. If your dogs are very painful, you can try pain medications or there is a surgery to correct the condition.

Yes they are prone to a condition caled luxating patellas. It means that their knee caps slide in and out of place because the ligaments that should hold them in place are weak. It is a very painful condition and a very common one as well but it can be repaired by a good vet.

Most small dogs such as the Pomeranian will experience the kneecap slipping off the femur when the dog is over exercising or is leaping too high. This will cause pain and the dog will hold his leg off the ground for a while. Usually, the dog will limp for a short time and then return to normal.

Are the older? Small Breed dogs are known for having problems with their hips, joints and knees in mid to older age. Once you notice your dog isn't moving as gracefully as she was before start giving her some Glucosamine tablets to help with the fluidity in her joints.
