A lot of people have different tastes when it comes to silver and gold. Many people tend to think gold jewelry looks more expensive, silver looks cheap. Those that like silver tend to think gold looks cheap, silver is more modern.

Gold is more valuable, but silver is less expensive, and harder to clean and care for. Also, a lot of people have allergies to silver. Virtually no one is allergic to 14k gold. If someone really wants the quality of gold, or has an allergy to silver, but prefers the color of silver, white gold is a good option.

Most people prefer gold jewelry. Gold is wildly believe to be more valuable and also to some people has medicinal power. Gold is also worth more than silver if you were to resell.

I prefer gold jewelry. But it has to be white gold. I actually have to have gold because I am allergic to silver. However, the quality of gold and the value is much better than silver, and I believe the value of gold will maintain or increase when passed to my children.
