Could lyme disease be connected with eye pain?

Lyme disease is not always associated with eye pain, it can be caused by a tick. Also other symptoms are fever, feeling tired, fainting and a stiff neck, skin lesions, muscle pain. Feeling weak and lethargic. A ring shaped rash is also a symptom of Lyme disease.

Lyme disease is a spirochete infection of multiple organs(some times local) it may affect any part of the eye leading to inflammatory process with variant symptoms and signs such as pain in the eye , double vision retinal damage , optic disk atrophy ... etc

Lyme can send twitching to the eye. You generally feel it in your blood traveling thru your body. It can center in your eye and stay or move. It is irritating.

Yes, Lyme disease is a bacterial infection that is transmitted by ticks. Lyme disease affects our immune system that results to weakening of our antibodies against infection. Symptoms such as eye pain is caused by inflammation of conjuctiva and retinal damages due to spread of intection.
