Can you tell me how the universe started?

Nobody knows for certain how the universe was started. Many different religions have their many different views on the universe's creation. The scientific world, however, believes in the Big Bang Theory. There is no empirical proof of any of these theories.

Based on extrapolating backwards from things we can observe today, the universe started from something called a 'singularity' - a point of infinite heat and density - which expanded massively in what is known today as the big-bang.

You have to choose if you believe it happened by accident or on purpose. The Bible says that int he beginning God recreated the universe. Evolution says that a cosmic accident created the universe. I choose to believe that God created the universe.
