Can you put freshwater snails in a fish tank?

Sure! As long as it's a fresh water tank. They can live very well in aquariums. You just have to be careful they're not carrying and fish diseases and monitor their numbers. Snail's are hermaphrodites so two snails can produce twice the number of offspring. I had them take over a tank once!

Yes, but they may harbor parasites, ruin live plants and reproduce quickly. Apple snails are illegal in some states. Snail eggs may end up in your filter.

Yes, snails can live with small fish like guppies and tetras but aggressive or large fish such as oscar and convict cichlids eat snails. Clown loaches and puffers eat snails.
