If you having something very formal I would recommend using similar wording to a wedding invitation and substituting the parents' names for "The Smith Children, sons and daughters of...". If it is something a little less formal use "The Smith Family". Always use the parents' last name, even if the one throwing the party has a different one.

On an invitation for a 50th wedding anniversary party, I would open by stating "Please join us to celebrate 50 years of marriage". Then I would display your parents name, the location, and time of the event.

Be clear and have a theme. Be sure to include the number of years that they have been married. Include a little history about your parents ie how they met or how they were engaged.
