Yes, in order to do this, proceed as you would making a jam normally in a stove top sauce pan. Put all the ingredients in the crock pot and turn on the low setting, or the high setting if you would like it completed faster. Keep in mind it will take longer than preparing on the stove.

No, because once you add the pectin, you have to bring the fruit sauce to a boil. Most crock pots won't boil, or if they do, it takes a long time. It works better to make it in a heavy bottomed pan over medium low heat to prevent scorching of the jam.

You certainly can make jam in a crock pot. Most jams and jellies require the ingredients to be simmered to allow the pectin and the sugar to work together and coagulate into the right consistency. If you turn the crock pot up to high, you should be able to make it exactly as you would on the stovetop.
