Can you kiss someone if both of you have cold sores?

It's not a good idea. You could have different strains of a virus causing your cold sores - so kissing would still transmit a new virus to each of you.

Anytime you or another person has a cold sore it is best to avid any physical contact with that person that will spread the germ from one to another, even though you both have it, don't kiss till it's gone!

You can, but you still risk the chance of getting more. I would recommend not kissing another person with cold sores because even if you both have had them in the past, touching one can bring on the onset of a new one. Be sure to not put the cold sore on any personal part of the body.
