Can you help me with troubleshooting my PS3?

Turn off the power switch and unplug it from the wall. Disconnect it from the TV, then reconnect everything in reverse order.

I am not qualified for troubleshooting. You have to turn to the technicians of Sony Entertainment. They are best qualified for this. The contact information is included within instruction manual. If you do not have it then i advise you to find the required information from the internet. Good luck!

To be able to troubleshoot anything, I will need to know what exactly is wrong with your PS3. Though, my suggestion would be to call Sony's tech support and give them a detailed description of what is going on with your system and see if their is anything they can do.

It depends what all is wrong with the system. If its overall just not functioning best bet is resetting it to factory settings (warning: this will wipe the hard-drive). To do this just hold down the power button for about 12 seconds or so. The power light will blink 3 times at you. Then turn on and setup the system.

Of course. People identify the issue you are having by first telling me when the issue started, and under what conditions. Is it specific to a game? Music? What do you see when you start the machine? Do you hear any sounds that seem out of place? Does the issue occur on one disc, or many?

If the problem is that your game will not load or play first you should try a newer game with few or no scratches to insure it is not the game cd or dvd movie. If the problem persists you might need to contact Sony Technical support for further help.

On the Ps3 menu screen is an option to troubleshoot. Also you can go to the PS3 website and there are help topics, and a phone number.

There have been numerous problems reported with the PS3 console. Try the troubleshooting section within the booklet first which covers the basics, switches and cords hooked up right.
