Can you help me with troubleshooting my icemaker?

The icemaker sometimes does not dispense ice. Sometimes the icemaker has to be jiggled to crack up the ice so it fits down the chute. I take it out and jiggle it around and return it back to it's orginal place. I also empty the tray completely, dump it and start making ice again because it tends to stick together.

First, make sure that there is no ice jammed in it somewhere. Then, check the line where the water feeds into it and make sure it's not frozen or broken.

To help with troubleshooting the icemaker, you need to describe the problem. Is it not making ice? Is it making an odd noise? Is it leaking? What kind of problems are there?

An icemaker is sometimes difficult to understand the problem. You should go to the manufacturer and get the help and not depend upon lay people.
