You'll have to be more specific with the problem. Toshiba's website offers good doumentation. Just look for their "support" page and type in the model number.

If the computer freezes before you can do anything, restart it and tap F8 until you get the option to boot into safe mode. First off, download and run AVG free. This will scan the computer for viruses. Then, download Superantispyware and run that. Alos, malwarebytes, scan . Then update all of your drivers. Google the laptop model # drivers.

What are the problems that you encountered? If it's power jack problem, take apart the laptop and re solder the pins of the power jack to the motherboard, one of the worst problem of Toshiba satellite is because of a faulty design, over time, the power jack on many models of the Satellite laptop begins to loosen.

The best way to troubleshoot your Toshiba Satellite is looking through the manual or listing the problem you have on a web search. You should always have virus software and a firewall. You can go to the performance and maintance portion of your control panel and defragment your computer.

If your computer is running slowly, first run your virus scan and ad-aware. Next, defragment your computer -- this is found in system tools. Otherwise, try using Geek Squad online.

Same laptop here, nice cheap machine. The first thing that likes to go out on them though is the power cord. New ones are about $80, but you can fix the broken one if you know how. Otherwise I haven't run into any problems with it as of yet.

Please tell us the model of your particular Toshiba Satellite laptop and provide a short discription of the actual problem that you are having. A lot of information can be found in the manual as well so it is worth checking Toshiba's website.
