Crate him while you are away. The crate should be just large enough for the dog to stand up and turn around comfortably. Immediately after coming home let the dog out to relieve himself. Praise him and give him one of his favorite treats.

Is your dog crate trained? This can help because dogs don't like to go to the bathroom where they sleep. You can start him in a crate wnd then expand the area slowly. Make sure you are taking him out to toilet frequently.

Consistency is key in housetraining pets. Keep your dog in a crate when you're not home, and on a leash while in the house. Reward good behavior with treats!
