Creating embellished artwork can be a lot of fun. If you have to decorate your picture digitally, simply add bright colors to highlights and dark colors to shadows. If you are physically decorating a picture, beads, glitter and bright color paints are always a good combination to have on hand.

Use objects such as buttons, rocks, twine, aluminum foil, sticks, leaves. Pick a theme and collect items that follow it and adhere them to the wood or canvas with glue.

Embellishing your art project can be as simple adding a few feathers at the edge, or as lavish as adding a collage of controversial political statements. An embellished picture could be a simple flower with objects from your 'junk drawer' glued on or stapled down. There are no limits!
