Kosher salt has been used as a home remedy for some forms of itching. You can either place the salt in a bowl and soak the part affected, or wet a towel and place the salt on it. But, you should not submerge yourself in the salt fully due too risk for further irritation. Try oatmeal for itching too!

An itch isn't cured by soaking it in kosher salt but it does relieve the symptoms. This works for several people but not for everyone. However, you have nothing to lose if you try. You have to treat the underlying cause of the itch, though.

Itching is a part of body reactions called "inflammation" or "allergy". Salt does not influence them directly. You may want to see a dermatologist for more specific treatment.

Soaking in Kosher salt may be helpful in reducing itchiness only if your skin condition is due to a bacterial or fungal infection. Salt neutralizes germs and bacteria. If your skin itch is due to something else (e.g. dryness or sunburn), a salt solution will increase the skin irritation.

Soaking in a salt bath is an ancient remedy for itching and it's still in use because for some types of itching it works really well. If a salt bath does not work it's some other type of itching.

It has been said that soaking in a bath of kosher salt can assist the body's natural healing processes in many ways. It's been recommended for everything from smelly feet to muscle aches. While it is not a scientifically proven theory, some people swear by the idea of using it.
