Yes: 1. get an 8-track player w/ a headphone jack output 2. plug that into microphone jack on computer 3. play the 8-track tape and record using Audacity (free off internet) 4. Save the audio as a sound file (.Wav, etc) 5. Burn files on a CD.

One way to handle this is by connecting a 8-track player's audio/line-out to the line-in of a CD recorder: a computer's microphone/audio connection is one of the easiest ways to handle this. Record each song from the tape using a sound recording program like Audacity, then burn the audio files to a CD.

You'll need an audio cable to go from the 8-Track player output (probably the headphone jack) to the CD recorder's input. You might need an audio jack adapter if the input and output are different sizes. If you're recording on a computer, Audacity is a great freeware solution.
