Can you append a note to an email in a way that it can't be forwarded?

Sometimes I receive emails that I forward to an employee to take care of and reply to, but sometimes I want to make a note to the employee and I don't want my note in the body of the email because that can get accidentally forwarded to the recipient.

Avoid using the 'Forward' button to prevent accidental e-mails. Instead use the 'Compose' button and address it only to the desired recipient. Copy and Paste the forwarded content between e-mails.

No, you can't attach a note that cannot be forwarded. This is a weakness of email generally. The recipient can do anything they want with your message, including editing it and sending on the edited email. Outlook can prevent forwarding, but the recipient must use Outlook too.

Unfortunately no, this is not possible by any traditional means. Anything entered into the body of the e-mail will be included while forwarding the e-mail to your fellow employee.

No, it is not generally possible - however, you can simply send a second email to your employee, or put in bold, hard to miss lettering that the note is not meant to be forwarded.

That depends on the email software you're using at work. Using Lotus Notes, for example, there is an option that prevents copying&pasting, forwarding, even replying. If you're using other email programs, though, generally this cannot be done.

Everything you write in the body of the email is sent in simple plain text so it can be read by anyone who gets the forward message. To insert a note that could not be read requires the use of an external attachment and ensure only the Employee could open it in the first person with his digital fingerprint authentication.

It is best to send the note in a separate email, or to provide instructions for the employee not to forward your note.
