Can nerve problems cause hives?

I know someone who has nerve problems, but I don't know if that is why they are breaking out in hives or not.

Hives can be caused by stress to the body. Your friend's nerve problems could be stressful, which would change their hormonal balance in their body. That hormonal imbalance could certainly be caused by the problems he or she is having. Doctors don't know a lot about chronic hives, so those nerves could be the reason.

Yes, nerve problems can definitely cause hive problems. Usually they recommend that a person who has those symptoms to take some stress management classes. I don't get hives as a symptom but I have bad nerves and anxiety. I do yoga for my management and it does help!

You need to consider what the problem really is. Are they hives from nerves or are they hives from perhaps being alergic to something that they are touching. Your best bet would be to have them see a doctor and determine where they are coming from.
