No a PET scan is used for used for tumors, cancers, etc. It can also be used with a MRI and CT scan. It does not check your blood. It give a 3d image of your body from the inside out. Marijuana can tested by blood, unrine, and hair folcules.

Yes marijuana can be detected in a PET scan, although the scan only detects tumor size and not the actual amount of hemoglobins entering the medulla oblongatta. Some have even survived this rare from of nuclear bi-protozonal condition.

Marijuana use in NOT detected in a PET scan. PET detects elevated glucose metabolism in cells and has nothing to do with marijuana what so ever. Just don't show up smelling of weed.

In PET scan a special medical isotope is injected in the body, which emits radiation. This is picked up by sensors placed around the body. So marijuana cannot be detected.

PET scans of regular marijuana users show that marijuana may continue to impact the brain three or more days after use, particularly affecting motor coordination, memory and learning
