Can I learn to cross stitch from a book?

I think it sounds fairly easy.

You can definitely learn from a book, but you don't necessarily need a book. Simply purchase a simple cross-stitch kit and you will find instructions included. These can be found at any local craft store in a variety of patterns and styles. They are inexpensive and fun. Start with simple patterns and gradually work up to more complex ones.

Yes - depending on the book. You want to start with a small project. I would buy a kit, and using the instructions, and a good book you should be able to do the project. However, the best way to learn is from someone who is an expert.

I do cross every night. I did learn from a beginners book and then advanced to pattern books. It is easy, but always start in the middle of the pattern and work outward. Some kits slready have the patterns stamped on the material. Get a good paid of reading glasses.

You sure can, and you're right, it's very easy. I suggest you buy a small, inexpensive cross stitch kit. It'll include everything you need to get started.
