I used to attend cosmetology school and usually they charge a small fee. I have never seen them do it for free. It is usually a small fee to cover any expenses, like the die and help buy new things for the school, it is worth the small fee hair appointments can get expensive.

To my knowledge, no, you cannot get free work done at a cosmetology school. You can however get it done much cheaper, at least 40-50% off.

You are not likely to get these services for free, but a cosmetology school does offer very steep discounts, and the person performing the procedure will be very knowledgeable and supervised by a professional.

Depending on the school it can be free, some have minimal charges to do color and cut. Make sure you go to a reputable school where the teachers are supervising the students closely.
