Yes, there are many charities that will accept appliances that are in working order. Check with the Salvation Army, Goodwill or Purple Heart for starters. You might also want to check with Habitat for Humanity as they take appliances for their ReStore operations.

Yes, most Goodwill and Salvation Army stores will accept appliances. Some will even pick them up from your home. You should contact local thrift stores in your area and find out which ones will accept.

You can donate just about anything at a local Goodwill building. They will give you a receipt, but you are responsible for filling out an appropriate amount for possible use as a tax deduction. The Goodwill website can help you with assigning a value.

Appliances can easily be donated, many charities will come and pick up your old appliances, and provide you with a form that provides the amount of the tax credit you can claim.

Appliances can be donated to agencies. such United Cerebral Palsy, Red Cross, etc. Donating to a person does not qualify you for a tax write-off. The agencies will give you a letter thanking you for the donation and usually the amount they thought the piece was worth.
