Yes! You can convert brackish water fish to a saltwater tank because they lives in saltwater only, but it does not mean that they are saltwater fish. It is more difficult to keep salt water tank than any other water tank, due to lack of tolerance. Even than it is easy for brackish water fish to survive as they grow.

Yes. My brackish figure-8 puffer now happily resides in a marine environment. The ghost shrimp make it too...Until the puffer eats them that is.

No, with the exception of a few strong species, brackish water fish can not process the additional salt contained in saltwater. You can sometimes convert saltwater fish to brackish in species like eels, but not vice versa.

Yes this can be done with a few species of fish. Although this is not an easy process. When attempting to do this you must graduly increase the amount of salt content as to not shock the fish. Some of the easier fish to convert are the American Flagfish, the pufferfish, and the Reedfish.

It is a slow and tedious process but the fish can build up a tolerance to the saltwater if done slowly. Some fish are easier to convert to the saltwater than others, including Pufferfish and Reedfish. Keep in mind saltwater tanks hold about half as many fish!

Yes, you can convert the fish to a saltwater tank. You must slowly add salt so you do not harm the fish however. Brackish water fish live in salt water but are not considered salt water fish. They can work a tolerance to the salt however, so yes it is possible.

Blackish water fish lives in salt water, but they are not actually saltwater fish. But as they grow they can survive in salt water tank.
