Can I compost computer paper?

Depending on the type of paper your using, yes. Of course all paper is chemically treated to some degree, but some printer papers have a light coating that is intended to hold the ink better. If you're planning an organic compost, then you may want to recycle the paper elsewhere.

You can compost computer paper. For the best result, make sure your shred it so it will decay properly. The only kind that you should not compost because it's used to last and not decay is the computer paper that is especially treated for long term use, like photo paper, it will not decay.

Generally, yes. You will probably get quicker results if you shred the paper, or soften it in water making a slurry.

The ink in computer printers is soy-based. This means that there are no harmful chemicals involved in composting computer paper and it is 1005 safe.
