Can dental hairline fractures be seen on an x-ray?

According to good dentist,he reviews that hairline fractures be seen rarely in x-rays. some times it can be visible.So good always reviews that no reliable in x-rays and which which is perpendicular direction to cracks.

On a high quality Xray, without any artefacts, a trained, experienced dentist will pick out a hairline fracture. The fact that teeth are not smooth but ridged and uneven makes this difficult. A hairline fracture however needs no treatment and if missed on an Xray has no consequence.

Yes a dental hairline fracture can be seen on an x-ray but the dentist is also able to see a fracture while examining your teeth. Try that first before paying for an x-ray.

I was having an toothache continuously i consulted the doctor he found tooth decay and he filled it, after a week it started paining again and i went to the doctor he told take x-ray and in that he came to know a hairline fracture in the root canal.
