Can credit card companies sue you in the state of Texas?

A credit card company can sue you in any state if you owe them money and default on your agreement. Indeed, buried in the fine print of most credit card agreements is a clause stating that the laws of the company's home state (usually Delaware) will govern any disputes.

they can try to sue(they ave 4 years after the last payment was made on the card or last time u used it) and will get a bad hudgement against you fight it because most likly u will win  add a comment

Yes, they can sue you. The area in which Texas is almost unique is the homestead protection. If you own your home, they can sue you and attach a lien to the property, but cannot take the house to pay for the debts.

Yes. A credit card company will do anything to collect the money that is owed to him. There is NO certain state where they cant touch you.

texas is the safes place for credit card debt they can not touch your house car or bankaccount if they say that they will do tape them and sue  add a comment
