The human liver can regenerate if a portion of it is removed. A severely damaged liver (drug abuse, Hepatitis, alcoholism) is unable to regenerate. The skin is an organ. It repairs itself, although when large portions are missing, grafts are necessary.

Yes. The liver has impressive regenerative properties. If part of it is damaged or surgically removed, the rest can grow to compensate. There are limits, though. If you lose your liver completely, you won't grow another one. And if it is damaged very severely, e. g. through long-term alcoholism, it will eventually lose the ability to repair itself.

The human liver can regenerate. After a sliver is removed a person can grow it back. It is why when people become sick from alcohol consumption they can survive it. A piece can be removed for donation or examination with no permanent harm to the person.
