Can a Molly Fish live in regular water?

They can live in a freshwater aquarium but mollies prefer "brackish" water. They require frequent water changes in order to stay healthy. Include one tablespoon aquarium salt per five gallons.

Mollies are not salt water fish. So they can live in tap water. However, whenever you have a fish, Molly or not, you need to make sure the water is right for them. There are many products available that can purify waters to proper fish levels.

Let the water sit for about 24 hour's to let chlorine evaporate and let it filter threw the filter for a good 3-4 hour's.Test Ph of water balance to 6.5-7.0.
