Can a company control what you write about it on the Internet if it's your opinion?

No one has control over what is written on the Internet, which is both fortunate and unfortunate. Written statements that are defamatory and untrue may be prosecuted as libel. You may express your opinion regarding your experience, certainly, or even share what you've been told happened to a friend, e.g.

If someone gives an opinion regarding a company, if it is based upon opinion, they are protected by the First Amendment as long as their remarks are not slanderous.
