There are many vitamins in stores like GNC that claim to affect the mood. They may also contain a variety of substances you do not need because you already get them in your regular diet. A natural mood enhancer is St. John's Wort, which has been recommended for depressed people. Sunshine is also a booster.

B vitamins (thiamine niacin, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, vitamin B12) are known to help ease depression. Valerian root, as well as St. John's Wort, can also help to improve your mood.

Numerous studies and research have shown that B vitamins (specifically B12 and folate) can help one's mood and mental health. People with deficiencies in these vitamins are more likely to have an increased sensitivity to mood disorders. There is also strong evidence of St. John's Wort increasing one's mood as well.

There are not any vitamins that will actually help your mood specifically. Most people do think taking multi vitamins makes the feel better in general. Vitamin b 12 is famous for giving people more energy and feeling better in general. If you feel better that usually helps you mood indirectly.

Having a well balanced diet helps lift your mood, so taking a general multivitamin will work just fine. Fish oil has also been known to be a natural antidepressant.

Try time released B25, 50 or 100's with the designated amount of every B vitamin: overdosing will jack you up and is toxic, though. NEVER on an empty stomach!
