In South America, France still owns French Guiana above Brazil. In North America, France owns the island of St. Pierre off Newfoundland, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and St. Martin in the Caribbean.

As far as I know, all 50 states of the United States of America have no French territories. On the maritime era and in the past, when new lands were being discovered, the French never went to America or won a war gaining American territory. The closest thing that might be French is some island in the Carrabean.
