Yes, they can be one of the more expensive small appliances out there. If you are considering per use price as well the cost jumps up even more beacuse people rarely use them. It would suggest waiting until a tax free weekend or a sale to purchuse one unless you think you will use it more then a little.

Yes. There are ice shavers as well as machines that spew out the ice like soft serve. They are all expensive unless you opt for a cheap ice shaver that gives you ice like you would get in those cheap rainbow snow cones in the paper cone cup you get from the ice cream man.

Italian Ice machines can vary greatly in price. Commercial versions can be quite expensive while consumer units can run between a few hundred dollars to just under one thousand dollars.

Italian Ice Machines are very expensive. They range anywhere from $1,200 for smaller ones that produce only a quart or two of ice cream, to machines that cost over $12,000 for top of the line, big ones that produce more ice cream. However if you want a cheaper machine,go for a used one, or a refurb.

Italian Ice is very similar to ice cream. It can can be made in a standard ice cream machine. So not terribly expensive.

Italian Ice machines can be fairly pricey, depending on the quality you're looking for. Cheaper models can run for only a few hundred dollars, but higher quality machines can average much higher, from $600 to $1000 and more.

This depends on the grade of the ice machine. Commercial grade ice machines can be expensive($500), one for personal use is relatively inexpensive ($50).

Yes they are pretty expensive because of their special structure. You can expect to pay in the thousands for this machine. You can find one on ebay and or amazon.

Depends on how you define 'expensive'. Like anything else, the more you're willing to spend may buy you increased quality. I know some are sold for $30-50 and are quite good (I prefer one of Hamilton Beach's models) but in my experience, a blend will work just as well and you're likely to have one.

They are actually very expensive. You can expect to pay 1000 or more for the machine itself. If you want to get a good deal, you might want to check ebay.
