Are antique butter churns still collectible?

They were hot a few years ago; not sure about current trends.

The popularity of collectibles can rise and fall on a whim. That's why the initial motivation behind having a collection should be your sincere love or interest in the item.

There is not a large market for these types of items but they still do sell at auctions. It appears the prices are actually lower over the last few years due to the economic hardship in the US and throughout the world. You are best selling these in the auction market.

Butter churns are as hot as ever, with EBay prices ranging from 10 to 300 dollars.Read product descriptions carefully to avoid buying a reproduction or a churn with unoriginal replacement parts. The real articles are: glass or metal, one quart or larger, marked with a patent date and, if metal, painted in the original colors of red or blue.

I am not an antique collector but my mom collects a lot that's when she see's something she likes. But when I have been to antique stores I have seen a couple of them they are not that popular these days.
